Kenshi Base Building
So you've got a squad going and now you think want a base, why? The benefit of a base that you can craft gear that you can't buy and produce food and medical gear for the cost of squad members. Your squad will look badass when they all wear co-ordinated gear. But when you first start, there are a few things to take into consideration. The first mining machines you build are manually operated, that's 3 people on Manual Stone Mining and 3 on Manual Building Materials. Then once you get Iron up and running, 3 people on Manual Iron Plate. The mistake to avoid is adding storage for Stone, Building Materials, Iron Ore, Copper and Iron Plates - each of which holds 100 items. That way you can have 3 people working the whole set, or perhaps 3 on the Building Materials chain and 3 on Iron Plates chain.
